I got a lot done today and this weekend in general. You know, it really helped that I had a plan. I knew on Friday that we were going to work on the house all day on Saturday, and Sunday I was to work on my continuing education hours for work. That was all I planned. But, as it turns out, I got even more done than that.
Friday, after painting the kitchen, we went out to eat with a friend at de o'malleys pizza pub. (they have fabulous gluten free pizza there!) Then we even spoiled ourselves and got culvers custard for dessert. We then watched fellowship of the ring. (i only made it half way through before falling asleep)
Saturday we went to the house at 9:00 and finished painting, I mopped the hardwood floor (twice) to prep it for varnish. I helped sweep and vacuum the bathroom, living room, spare bedroom, and the kitchen! All but the kitchen are ready for the flooring to be installed! We installed the carpet pad in the spare room, and unrolled the carpet to prep it. I also made delicious Bacon, eggs and potatoes for lunch! That evening, we went grocery shopping and watched some ghost adventures.
This morning, I helped Billie over the phone with making soup. I started and finished my continuing ed! And make a batch of chocolate chip cookies, made gluten free black raspberry scones (with berries we wildcrafted last July and froze) (the scones Aw pretty ugly, but taste awesome!) I did all the dishes too :) our friend came over to make dinner. I made a salad, he made chicken bruschetta, and oven roasted potatoes. Delicious! Then we also whipped up a batch of grasshoppers! Now I'm in bed.
It feels so great to look back and list all of this, I feel so accomplished even if all these Things are small, when I add them up it makes a big difference!
So if I had to say anything, id say:
Start with a plan, then look back and see what else you accomplished!
It's a great feeling when you surpassed your original plan!
